Teaching procedures:
Step 1: Warming-up
1. Greet with students.
2. Let students enjoy a song named Reality and ask them to sing together.
Dreams are my reality.
The only kind of real fantasy.
Illusions are a common thing.

It seems as it’s meant to be
Ask students to answer the question: Can you find the vowel pronunciation repeated several times? And lead in the topic: pronunciation. Write down the words with similar vowel pronunciation on the blackboard: Dreams, real, seems, be.
Step 2: Presentation
1. Discovering
Invite a new friend to students: a little sheep on the screen. And tell my students a story combined by four sentences: She is a green sheep, her name is Lee, she walks in the evening, then she sleeps and dreams. And invite one of students circle the words contain the same pronunciation with the words on the blackboard. The words are: green, sheep, Lee, evening, dream. Lead them find the vowel pronunciation /i:/.
2. Acquiring
Lead students read for several times, and let them find the pronunciation usually appears in letter group “ee” and “ea”.
Step 3: Practice
1. Game: Find their home
Present some words on the blackboard, draw two houses on the blackboard, one for /i:/ and the other for /i/. Ask one of students to send the words into houses accordingly.
2. Make sentences
Students should make some sentences using the word contained vowel pronunciation /i:/.
Step 4: Production
Let students work in group of four in 5 minutes, and do the association. They should find more words contain /i:/ to make up a story and share on stage.
Step 5: Summary and Homework
Summary: invite a student to be a little teacher and summarize today’s lesson.
Homework: ask students to make a story contain the vowel pronunciation /i:/.
